Ah, so Amiya is a rabbit...could've sworn I heard players calling her a donkey, and her ears look like one too.

wolfycooki3s • 1 year ago

Yes, she's a rabbit but canonically she's something else (not gonna spoil).
And the reason why she's called a donkey is because of her ears, it's just another running gag in the community. xD

I thought boys who play videogames dont have a sense of humours and only care about simping

You forgot the "/s". You're welcome.

RohanOf ElvenPower • 1 year ago

Aqua • 1 year ago

I love video games and i'm very fun at parties "A little too fun but ei a little physical, mental or emotional pain is a fair price to pay for fun". I don't simp too so i don't think there's a clear definition of what a gamer should be and like it varies from person to person.

I'm a people person too and have zero difficulty talking to anyone "A little too confident people say but actually i just dont see the deal with being intimidated from a person from the start when you clearly don't know anything about that person" including grils that score 10 or famous or even intimidating types or heck even potential criminals and even literally crazy people "I live in the hood so there it is" i guess you can lump me in with the INDIFFERENT types "Went to the club and the boys dared me to approach a hottie and i did and even got her number and they confirmed it's real just to never call her again coz yeah picking up grils in the club is like NOPE" oh and important note, i'm not handsome but i am fit back in the day.

I am a bit of a snob though so yeah end of the day i'm very plain and ordinary i think. Verdict? Gamers are varied nowadays and there's no clear stereotype of it nowadays.

RohanOf ElvenPower • 1 year ago

you call yourself a man? 3 paragraphs and still confused. the fact that you bothered to write your thoughts out with no clear point automatically makes you a low quality male

Aqua • 1 year ago

Damn, dude chill. Embrace ZEN.

ChiliPot • 1 year ago

I wouldnt take that dudes word for it, but Monke got it. People be livin'. How that living gets done is up to the individual. :^

Aqua • 1 year ago

Exactly. Everybody's different and people putting you in a pedestal should reevaluate how they think the world works coz we're not made in the same factory to be SIMILAR in any shape or form.

But then again, come on i was being serious and just to make it abit more realistic i'm still single and never landed a waifu and would probably die alone coz yeah i'm broke and you need to secure that security thing to land a waifu and despite my strong suits i still have my shortcomings like i easily get bored with anyone and i don't care much about looks so its hard to get attracted to someone if you don't care about physical since that's what starts alot of things. So yeah end of the day not so perfect after all.

An inside joke from the Chinese community.

wolfycooki3s • 1 year ago

I'm so happy we get to see Yato (hope Hypergryph gives her an alter version or a event centered around her).\(≧▽≦)/

I was expecting Misha to sound more childish but her actual voice still fit.

Wei Yenwu was as cunning as in the game even without his whole essay level dialogue line.

And we finally see Superintendent Ch'en (the workaholic dragon) and Kal'Tsit (the non-canonically ex-wife), the seiyuu performance was really breathtaking.
Also, a smiling Kal'Tsit was really a treat. (^་།^)

I'm really gonna fanboy this adaptation until the end, it is so well made. („• ᴗ •„)

Ren任 • 1 year ago

I'm already fanboying since the 1st episode. :P

ChiliPot • 1 year ago

I'm fanboying as well ;v;
But I just hope some of the people i'm watching with will stay 'till the end too. By gacha game standards Arknights imo is probably one of the best adaptions done, but of course it may be a bit slow for others to get into. (Heres hoping the action gets a bit of an up too)

wolfycooki3s • 1 year ago

Yeah unfortunately, to have a good plot you got to have a good settings and for that you need to explain how the world works and that means a lot of dialogue.
However, mainstream people will start complaining when a character has more than 3 voice lines.

I really wonder how much text does the anime have compare to the game because the game is really massive in term of world building, dialogue and not to talk about the vocabulary they use. xD

Dazed • 1 year ago

I'm a complainer for opposite reasons. The dialogue is too dumbed down. It makes these interactions feel immature.

The dude watched one snapshot of Rhodes Island combat activity and took that as reason enough to turn away extra manpower.

Then Kal'Tsit simply repeated a second time 'Reunion is dangerous' and the guy changed his mind 180° and accepted her offer...

That's dialogue befitting a children's book.

That would already land differently, if he pointed out he extensively read all the files his people could find on Rhodes Island (while that video about RI combat intelligence played in the background). Says that he respects their expertise in combat as well as pharmaceuticals, but has doubts about how beneficial a deal with them would actually be for Lungmen (=him). If Reunion doesn't turn out to be much of a threat, one they could've dealt with themselves (as all their intelligence indicates), then they would've let Rhodes Island in on much of their 'intel' & possibly secrets without so much as getting anything in return.

And if Wei Zenyu is anything, it's someone who only makes deals that favor himself.

It doesn't need to use a lot of difficult vocabulary. Just showing they're thinking about things from many different angles tends to be enough to give the impression of depth.

MoeMoe • 1 year ago

I agree the dialogue is dumbed down compared to the walls of text in game but it cannot be helped with anime adaptations since there are a lot of limitations like time. I feel like the negotiations couldve gone better such as adding more dialogues before amiya finally said "we saw her", it felt rushed imo. I still love this adaptation though since I had a hard time imagining stuff while playing the game, it is nice to actually see the combat scenes and the city and all.

Dazed • 1 year ago

If only the anime was one of their extended trailers.

They do a marvelous job with their trailers, where they zoom in or highlight a tiny part of a character's background. No dialogue, the visuals tell the story.

OfficialDrixMalone • 1 year ago

People are just idiots with microwaves for brains smh. Their attention span is like a goldfish and only wants action, thinking thats what a great anime is lmao. And even when the series does give an overload of action, they turn around and say how it didn't really have a story!! They're just toxic lil pricks who don't know wtf they want (kind of like women who don't know what kind of man they want in dating, not the lil pricks part but the toxic can stay aha). Seriously though, you can't satisfy these dickheads because they're irrational, pointless to try.

Though a season from a series that probably came close to perfection was Doupo Cangqiong: San Nian Zhi Yue (BTTH) 3 Year Agreement ONA!! I promise that was beyond amazing, it'll turn non donghua watchers into fans quick. It just about has everything needed in a series that one looks for, even stuff you didn't think you'd look for and found by surprise. It gave great dialogue, action (that most of the time mattered and made sense, though some of it was pointless, like dragging it along), characters (from development and more), etc. They combined and blended the dialogues and action damn near perfectly together, giving you the right amount of each needed to make your experience like being on a rollercoaster watching firecrackers. Not many can do that with a season, let alone a whole series!! A donghua I do think is doing a superb job is "A Mortal's Journey" which has been the most consistent, but even it has weak points and sometimes doesn't know how to get around the long dialogues, or other minor details. And I'm a strict critic, but fair.

Quite a bit of animal races here.

Suiketsu Whitesands • 1 year ago

its because everyone is one. most of them have really minor animal features like patches of skin for the Frog people, Anura, or wing ears or feather ahoge for the Bird people, Liberi. or really obvious ones like the sexual dimorphism of the Archosauria, Reptilian people, which has the females have horns, scales, and reptile tails with either only one or a combination of the three, and the males be fully anthro reptile.

ChiliPot • 1 year ago

I knew it'd be a lotta talkin' this time around again.. ;-; I get that it has to be done, but personally I think majority of the episode coulda gone off screen maybe.. at least for the anime.

ALTHOUGH, FINALLY get to hear Wei's voice. It ALMOST sounds like what I envisioned it to sound like, so that was very nice. Heres hoping next week is a bit more fast paced .w.
